Port Hudson State Historic SiteHike the six miles of well marked trails on this 899 acres of historic battlefield, last Confederate stronghold on the Mississippi and scene of a long and bloody siege. Along the trails you will find three observation towers, an elevated broadwalk over the breastworks in the Fort Desperate Area, a museum, a picnic area and restrooms. And of course there are creeks, ponds, flora, and plenty of wildlife. Location just ten minutes south of St. Francisville, Louisiana on U.S. Highway 61. |
West Feliciana Historical Society & Information CenterLocated in the Old Hardware Store, circa 1896, the museum houses photographic exhibits, miniature re-created historic rooms, period clothing and flags of the area.
